"I've been wanting to do a styled shoot with a funky, modern theme with bright colors and an air of luxury. I got the inspiration for the colors - fuchsia and pink - from Essie nail polish, they have a color called Flowerista (how appropriate!) that I absolutely love. I think the color palette and style of this shoot is so versatile - I think it works best in Spring and Summer, and can be used in an industrial raw space venue so there is nothing else to compete with the bright colors - especially if it has white walls and concrete floors! The very first item I bought for the shoot was that amazing jumpsuit, which was inspired by Solange- she wore a very similar one for her wedding!" --Alexa of Long Aisle Events
"If you're looking to create a similar look, my advice is don't be afraid of color- choose one element that has a lot of the colors you're looking for and then tie other features back into that one. For example, I used the napkin as my 'tie back' element. Because the floral napkin had so many colors, I was able to use those colors in the chair covers, on the 2 different chargers, in the confetti balloon, and on the ceremony arch and even though the shades of purple are different, it didn't clash because those colors always tied back into the napkin." --Alexa of Long Aisle Events
"One of the things I love about styled shoots is getting to exercise our creativity without restrictions. I made sure to work with vendors who wanted to create something they don't get to do on a daily basis- which is one of the reasons to me why this shoot was such a success. Confession- the balloon pop photo was completely unplanned and the reaction on Caroline's face is 100% authentic. We did the shoot on a very hot July day in Florida and that confetti balloon had had enough! It turned out to be one of my favorite moments of the day, and of course then one of my favorite photos. Austin did an AMAZING job getting that shot!" --Alexa of Long Aisle Events
