When you’re related to one of the world’s most renowned event planners, Colin Cowie, your wedding day is bound to be unforgettable! After all, the apple doesn’t fall from from the tree. The bride decided to use her well-inherited event planning genes to plan her own wedding from start to finish, and boy did she perform! This stunning South African celebration is proof that a neutral palette is so far from boring. From the towering hydrangea pomander centerpieces to the reception walls completely covered in lush greenery – every inch of this wedding is insanely gorgeous.
Quote from Colin Cowie: “I had such a proud moment walking my gorgeous niece down the aisle at Camp Orchards in the hills about Durban, South Africa. My niece chose this stunning former sugar plantation and family home as the venue for the wedding. While she is not a designer nor is she in the wedding or event business, she planned a chic, elegant and tons-of-fun wedding that made us all proud. We wined, dined, danced and celebrated ’till 2 am the following morning! With only 80 guests, she surrounded the dance floor with 4 long farmhouse tables dressed with mirrored runners, fabulous flowers and tons of candles. The room was anchored with a live wall and large mirrors placed behind the main table which created a stunning backdrop to the whole room. I might be a little biased, but I have not had that much fun in a long time!”
