A bride that embodies grace, a groom that glows of deep admiration for his bride, and the most stunning green and white decor we’ve ever laid eyes on – these three elements encompass the magic of this unforgettable wedding day. Lucky for all of us, ART IS FOR LOVERS was present throughout the celebrations to capture every picture-perfect moment! The bride wore a gorgeous strapless gown by none other than the queen of weddings, Vera Wang, and shoes by Badgley Mischka. This couple clearly cared about what went on the table (and we’re not talking about the centerpieces here), the entire night was catered by renowned chef Wolfgang Puck! It’s pretty safe to say that we have a serious case of FOMO staring at these amazing photos. See for yourself! (P.S. Look for quotes from the bride in italic!)
"I loved that we did a simultaneous first look - I didn't know what Spencer was wearing, so It was my first time seeing him, too! We stood on opposite sides of a huge pillar, and turned around at the same time. So much anticipation was leading up to that first look, so I'm glad we both got to experience it the same way."
"All of the bridesmaids chose Halston Heritage for their attire: One wore a jumpsuit, two wore dresses."
"Our wedding date is a mirror image (6-18-16, same forward as it is backward), so that became an element that we wanted throughout the wedding. Everything was written on mirrors (the welcome sign, seating chart, bar menu, dessert menu, favor sign), and the belly band on our invitations had the mirror image of our wedding date (with the second "16" flipped to be a true mirror image)."
"I literally had tunnel vision until after the ceremony was over - I don't remember seeing anything or anybody else except Spencer as I was walking down the aisle. We wrote our own vows, and those vows are my favorite part of the day (I still read them every day). We wrote them on paper, and had them framed afterward."
"The black, white, and emerald green color palette we used is beautiful, but we still wanted a bright pop of color, so we used copper as our accent color (charger plates, vases, mirror frames, etc.)."
"We wanted to make sure that our wedding really represented us as a couple, and not just be a collection of cool things we saw at other people's weddings. We love greenery, so we had a ton of dark green leaves as the base of the white flowers, and even had a green hedge background for our GIF/photobooth."
"Don't be unmovable. The things I thought I absolutely needed at my wedding ended up not looking great together, so we changed quite a few things. For instance, circular tables ended up looking better with the venue's reception layout than long banquet tables (which I originally wanted) - and I'm glad we were able to see that, and evolve on our choices."
"We wanted everyone to have the best dinner ever, and Wolfgang Puck put together a menu of all the things we love for dinner and the dessert bar (churros, and strawberry shortcake push-pops included!). I'm Italian, so having every table covered in antipasti (olives, cheeses, breads, etc.) before they sat down was important - we love food, and didn't want anyone leaving hungry!"
"We love locally-made things, so for our favors we went with a variety of the absolutely delicious Compartes bars that are handmade in Los Angeles, and sold just down the street from our house ("Cereal Bowl" and "Donuts & Coffee" were a couple of the flavors we went with - yum!)."
"Several things went wrong before the wedding, but Spencer was good about reminding me that literally nobody but us would know - everybody else just sees a great wedding!"
